On the territory of Bolton-Ouest, there are cattle farms (Highland) using two methods. The first is beef on intensive rotation pasture: this method allows CO2 capture by the pasture equal to – or even greater than – the fumes (CH4) of ruminants. The second is free-grazing, grain-finished beef (non-GMO). Added to this is the breeding of alpacas and a few other small animal operations such as the Chanteclerc hens.
